Excellent location in the centre of the city, opposite of the Cathedral and near the tourist tram, the shuttle buses stop and shopping centres. Very clean room with good windows isolation. Nice and helpful staff.

From the moment we arrived, and throughout our stay, we were treated as 'special guests'! The friendly, kind, and 'nothing is a problem' attitude by ALL staff was amazing. Every guest I observed was treated with the same kindness and respect. Our room was lovely. The 3 most important things we hope for in accommodation are a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom with hot water and shower, and the cleanliness! We had all 3!! This hotel is in a great location to catch trams and to enjoy all that Christchurch has to offer. Breakfasts were included in our stay, and we opted to dine in their restaurant each evening, delicious menu, and so comfortable to relax and enjoy our food. Enjoyed everything! Highly recommend!

The location was perfect. It was less than a minute from any of the venues I needed to be at during my stay. The room was well appointed and spacious. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked, good water pressure and easy to control water temperature. The rain shower option was great and the switch from hand held to rain shower was easy to operate. The big windows all around allowed for plenty natural light and a great view across the city. Friendly helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was good too. Sadly, I did not get to enjoy breakfast as had to attend breakfast meetings both days.

The Distinction Hotel was an excellent choice for my husband and me who came to attend a week long conference. At the centre of the city, a few minutes walk from Te Pae, it was also very close to the shopping district, cafes, the art museum, the earthquake museum. art centre and the riverside market. Our room was very comfortable, the servicing of the room was excellent and staff at the desk and in the restaurant were great, cheerful, welcoming, helpful. We commend in particular the excellent breakfast buffet.

The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The staffs (Jah and the Japanese manager) were friendly and very helpful. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of the city and in walking distance to shopping area. Overall, we had a great stay and will return to stay here.

Simplicity, stylish, comfortable, and the quietness on the 10th floor (Room 1004) The staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant menu choices were plentiful and delicious and so artistically presented. The staff, from mature Gracie to a new French addition, Margot, were ever so helpful and professional. Thankyou

I ĺoved the room. The bed was wonderful. Curtains and furnishings top marks. The staff were really lovely and pleasant. The breakfast bar was decent.. the white bread was fantastic toasted and the coffee machine was super impressive. It's a lovely hotel for sure !!

One of the highlights of my stay was the incredibly comfortable bed and bed linen. The quality of the bedding made for a perfect night's sleep, ensuring I was well-rested and ready to explore the beautiful city of Christchurch. It truly felt like a home away from home. The hotel's facilities are excellent, with clean and well-maintained rooms that offer all the necessary amenities.

Sensational location, amazing stay. Small details in our superior family suite made all the difference such as spacious and clean rooms, blue light in the bathroom overnight perfect to reassure children, robes and slippers, valet parking. Whisper quiet- I didn't hear any other guests over our two night stay. Courteous and friendly staff. Couldn't rate this hotel more highly. Wish we could have stayed longer.
